In both assays, in line with our observations that mTOR blockade had a minimal impact on the cell surface machinery mediating the macrophage–cancer cell interaction, there were no significant differences in phagocytic affinity (the percentage of macrophages phagocytosing the Raji cells) between the control- and rapamycin-pretreated macrophages at any of the time points assessed (Supplemental Figure S3B,C).
