TNF and neoplasm: The present work summarizes those genes related to the immune system such as those from the protein family known as Tumor Necrosis Factors (TNFs) that are involved in cell proliferation, invasion, metastasis and apoptosis, such as TNFAIP6, which is active at earlier stages of cell transformation, and also those genes that are potential indicators of the response of breast carcinogenesis to chemotherapy, such as the interleukins.
