Moreover, no motor distinctions using the rotarod test were observed for Parkin (Goldberg et al., 2003; Zhu et al., 2007), DJ-1 (Dave et al., 2014; Chen et al., 2005), PINK1 (Gispert et al., 2009; Zhou et al., 2007) and LRRK2 (Bichler et al., 2013) transgenic animal models of PD, for all these models exhibited similar latencies for remaining on the rotating rod when compared to their corresponding controls (Table 1).
