The levels of AAb against IFN-α1 and IFN-α2 were significantly higher in people with LADA than those registered in people with T1D (P < .0001, P = .012, respectively) or T2D (P = .018, P < .0006, respectively), with no difference comparing subjects with T1D and T2D (AAb-IFN- α1: P = .32; AAb-IFN-α2: P = .63) (Fig. 2A-B). This evidence concerns the gene IFNA2 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
