VWF and cancer: Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that clots from cancer cases expressed a significantly higher percentage of vWF (median[Q1–Q3] 26 [13–38]% vs. 10 [4–18]%, p < 0.0001) and H3Cit (median[Q1‐Q3] 0.11 [0.02–0.46]% vs. 0.05 [0.00–0.28]% p = 0.027) than controls, while no difference was found in terms of CD42b and CD3 expression between the two groups (Table 3).
