MCT-treated rats showed a significant reduction of SOD, CAT, and GPX concentrations and increased MDA levels, which were reversed by 18β-Glycyrrhetinic Acid, and experimental data support the notion that 18β-Glycyrrhetinic Acid is beneficial in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (Zhang et al., 2019). Here, CAT is linked to pulmonary arterial hypertension.
