In nasopharyngeal carcinoma, fructose-1, 6-bisphosphatase 1 inhibits autologous ubiquitination of the E3 ligase FBXW7, thereby stabilizing this ubiquitin ligase, promoting FBXW7 to regulate mTOR protein ubiquitination, inhibiting the mTOR signaling pathway to inhibit glycolysis, and promoting radiation-induced apoptosis and DNA damage for tumor growth inhibition55 (Table 1).
