In the whole mucosal melanoma cohort including responders and non‐responders, the methylation levels of nine genes showed a statistically significant negative correlation with their expression level: extracellular matrix glycoprotein encoding gene TNXB, cell adhesion molecule CADM3, adenylyl cyclase enzymes encoding gene ADCY5, coiled‐coil serine rich protein CCSER1, sulfotransferase encoding gene SULT1A2, RNA‐binding protein RBM24, insulin‐like growth factor binding protein IGFBP2, carboxypeptidase CPQ and neurexin encoding gene NRXN1 (Figure 6F, p < .05). This evidence concerns the gene RBM24 and melanoma.
