PCOS patients had significantly higher WBC counts, which were positively correlated with BMI, total T, insulin, triglyceride (TG), homeostasis model assessment (HOMA) scores, free androgen index(FAI), and sex hormone-binding globulin(SHBG), and negatively correlated with high-density lipoprotein(HDL). Multiple regression analysis showed that BMI, SHBG, and TG were the main predictive factors for WBC in PCOS. The gene discussed is INS; the disease is polycystic ovary syndrome.
