The Cer 24:1/24:0 ratio was found to be significantly increased in patients at 7 days compared to controls (1.44-fold, P = 0.046), but this ratio and the Cer 16:0/Cer 24:0 ratio decreased 1 year after stroke compared to 7 days (P = 0.033 and P = 0.046, respectively) (Supplemental Fig. S4).
