Among the multiple genes positively regulated in inflammatory processes, we find various members of the S100A family, such as S100A1, S100A2, S100A4, S100A6, S100A8, S100A9, S100A10, S100A11, S100A13 and S100A16 (Figure 1J), many of which act as DAMPs in glioma pathology 5, 17, 21. The gene discussed is S100A2; the disease is glioma.
