Among the multiple genes positively regulated in inflammatory processes, we find various members of the S100A family, such as S100A1, S100A2, S100A4, S100A6, S100A8, S100A9, S100A10, S100A11, S100A13 and S100A16 (Figure 1J), many of which act as DAMPs in glioma pathology 5, 17, 21. This evidence concerns the gene S100A16 and central nervous system cancer.
