Moreover, it has been reported that the ERCC3 gene variants are associated with an elevated risk of developing various types of cancer, including breast cancer, ovarian cancer, lung cancer, osteosarcoma, bladder cancer, colorectal cancer, medulloblastoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, malignant pleural mesothelioma, and thyroid cancer (Table 5) [9–12, 21–32, 34]. The gene discussed is ERCC3; the disease is breast carcinoma.
