To understand whether augmented CD47 expression results from an increase in corresponding mRNA production, we used metastatic melanoma patient-derived cells M727, M354, and M1626 that were determined to express various levels of CD47 (Figures 1A, B) and compared them to normal melanocytes or hepatocellular carcinoma cells, HEPG2, (known for low levels of CD47 protein) using qRT-PCR. Here, CD47 is linked to metastatic melanoma.
