The beneficial actions of Tet2-mediated CH on stroke outcome may be more reflective of the protective role that bloodborne pro-inflammatory macrophages and their monocyte precursors play in ischemic stroke (Chu et al., 2015; Pedragosa et al., 2020; Miró-Mur et al., 2016; Fang et al., 2018; Wattananit et al., 2016; Garcia-Bonilla et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene TET2 and cyclic hematopoiesis.
