Significantly, unlike EVs from intermediate (p < 0.001) and adverse-risk patients (p < 0.01), EVAML from favorable AML patients increased the proportion of CD34+ cells with high levels of ROS and high mitochondrial potential (ROShi MITOhi; Fig. 7e) as compared to untreated cells (p < 0.01; Supplementary Fig. 8a) and decreased the proportion of CD34+ cells with low levels of ROS and high mitochondrial potential as compared to intermediate (p < 0.01) and adverse-risk EVAML (p < 0.05; Fig. 7e).
