S100A8 and acute respiratory distress syndrome: Inhibition of S100A8/A9 has been demonstrated to be an effective approach for the treatment of infection‐induced ALI.[3] More importantly, lines of studies indicated the S100A8/A9 to be an emerging player in sepsis‐induced organ injury.[4] Logically, the above findings prompt us to explore the effect of S100A8/A9 inhibition on sepsis‐induced ALI.
