KCNC1 and neuroblastoma: Removal of one or both conserved N-glycosylation sites of the α-subunit of Kv3.1, along with replacement of complex N-glycans of Kv3.1 with oligomannose or hybrid, was shown to reduce cell migration, encourage localization of Kv3 in the cell body rather than the neurites, hinder the opening and closing kinetics of Kv3 channels, and reduce neurite length in rat neuroblastoma cells [11–13].
