SLC6A11 and infection: Increased levels of IL-6R present in astrocytic end feet could lead to reactive astrocytic state (De Bock et al., 2022), as indicated by the expression of astrogliosis-associated DEGs such as Gfap, Slc6a11, and Kcnn4 (for both NF1_LV and NF45_HV infections), Ntsr2, Ntm and Aldoc (only detected during NF1_LV), and Slc1a3 and Fam107a (only in NF45_HV).
