LGI1 and autoimmune encephalitis: Anti-LGI1 encephalitis can be identified using the following criteria, according to the consensus of Chinese experts on the diagnosis of autoimmune encephalitis: FBDS of acute or subacute onset with progressive aggravation of limbic encephalitis symptoms; normal or mild lymphocyte pleocytosis; abnormal brain MRI signals in the unilateral or bilateral medial temporal lobe; abnormal EEG activity; and serum and/or CSF anti-LGI l antibody positivity [6].
