As indicated by the IVW method for genetic prediction, increased concentrations of C-C motif chemokine 25 (CCL25) (OR = 0.932, 95% CI 0.879–0.989, P = 0.016), Fibroblast growth factor 19 (FGF19) (OR = 0.790, 95% CI 0.683–0.914, P = 0.002) and Leukemia inhibitory factor receptor (LIFR) (OR = 0.830, 95% CI 0.745–0.925, P = 0.001) were associated with a decreased risk of AMD (Figure 3). This evidence concerns the gene FGF19 and age-related macular degeneration.
