In another study, laboratory findings of MIS-C were summarized as follows: elevated inflammatory markers (including IL-6, CRP, procalcitonin, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, ferritin, fibrinogen, and D-dimer), increased cardiac markers like troponin and pro-BNP (indicative of potential heart damage), and abnormal blood cell count (lymphopenia, neutrophilia, thrombocytopenia, mild anemia) [7,16]. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and anemia.
