In addition to inhibiting the immune‐inflammatory response,[61] NR3C1 mediates resistance to platinum and small‐molecule drugs in lung and ovarian cancers.[62, 63] Recently, it was reported that glucocorticoids bound to NR3C1 and promoted neutrophil extracellular traps and cancer metastasis.[64] In GC, we found that SE‐driven NR3C1 served as the master TF promoting 5‐FU resistance, bringing out the caution of dexamethasone application in patients with GC undergoing chemotherapy. This evidence concerns the gene TF and ovarian cancer.
