Existing studies have proved that inhibiting this pathway can improve lipid metabolism disorders in NAFLD mice and alleviate the inflammatory state of the liver (Chen et al. 2024; Deng et al. 2024), proving that inhibition of the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway is a potential therapeutic approach for NAFLD. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
