There is a high incidence of BMs in patients with ALK-positive NSCLC, with initial BMs occurring in 15%–35% of cases, increasing to 60% during first-line TKI or chemotherapy treatment (Shaw et al., 2013; Doebele et al., 2012; Guerin et al., 2015). The gene discussed is ALK; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
