At the same time, curcumin blocks cancer development by affecting various proteins and signaling pathways related to cell proliferation such as Akt, PI3K, mTOR, activator protein (AP1), c‐Jun N‐terminal kinase (JNK), Janus kinases‐ signal transducer and activator of transcription proteins (JAK–STAT), protein kinase C (PKC), cMYC, mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK), extracellular receptor kinase (ERK), cyclin‐dependent kinases (CDKs), p53 and Wnt/ß catenin (Tsvetkov et al. 2005; Shelash Al‐Hawary et al. 2023).
