Analysis of data from the UCSC XENA database, which incorporates information from The Cancer Genome Atlas Program (TCGA), Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx), and etc., revealed significant upregulation of AMBRA1 expression in seven distinct solid tumors, including cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), breast cancer, esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), kidney chromophobe, liver hepatocellular carcinoma, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, and STAD (Figures 1A, B).
