In a 2021 study, we assessed the psychological status of lung cancer patients using the Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients (PSSCP) and the Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS); additionally, we evaluated immune function by measuring plasma levels of immunoglobulins IgA, IgG, and IgM, as well as natural killer (NK) cell activity; our findings indicate that MT contributed to improvements in depression, anxiety, psychosomatic status, and immune function in patients with advanced lung cancer (22). The gene discussed is CD79A; the disease is lung carcinoma.
