Using multivariate linear regression, we identified a significant linear relationship between the two parameters, and this relationship remained in the fully adjusted model (adjusted for age, hypertension, nuclear fragmentation, mesangial cell and matrix proliferation, microthrombi, ALB, serum C3, 24-hour proteinuria, endothelial hyperplasia, and Hb), with a regression coefficient (β-value) of −2.852 (95% CI: −5.161, −0.543; P = 0.01759). This evidence concerns the gene GSTM1 and hypertensive disorder.
