No moderation of the HCC – burnout association by age was found for monocytes, granulocytes, B cells, NK cells, and NK-T cells as well as for metabolic parameters used for assessing the allostatic load (such as Hb, CRP, HDL, LDL, or Triglycerides), suggesting that not all biomarkers used for computing the allostatic load have a strong impact on the link between HCC and burnout although HCC may be strongly correlated with some of them (e.g., HDL). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and hepatocellular carcinoma.
