This study achieved a deep learning algorithm that incorporates baseline structural MRI, demographic, neuropsychological, and APOe4 genetic data from the ADNI database to predict the transition from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to Alzheimer’s disease (AD) within a three-year timeframe. The obtained prediction performance shows high sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy. The gene discussed is APOE; the disease is early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
