IL‐8 is secreted by various cancers and can stimulate cancer cell metastasis in an autocrine fashion.[76, 77, 78, 79] Our study found that both the IL‐8 neutralizing antibody and its receptor CXCR1/2 inhibitor could eliminate nuclear TRAF4‐promoted stemness and invasion, highlighting that targeting IL‐8/CXCR1/2 was a promising strategy for metastatic cancer. The gene discussed is CXCR1; the disease is cancer.
