IL-17 is a multifunctional pathway and it involves in up-regulating inflammatory gene expressions, activating NF-κB and induces pro-inflammatory cytokines (such as IL-6, TNF-α and IL-1), T cell and neutrophil-attracting chemokines including CCL-2, CCL-7, CXCL-1 and CXCL-2, destructing bones which observed in the models of arthritis, regulating several genes which restricted to gut epithelia and contributing to maintenance of intestinal barrier integrity (Li and Tsokos 2021; Amatya et al. 2017). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL1 and arthritic joint disease.
