In a general population cohort of patients with metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) patients, male sex, younger age, high triglyceride levels, and GG genotypes of patatin‐like phospholipase domain‐containing 3 gene (PNPLA3) rs738409 and rs2896019 were significant factors influencing alanine aminotransferase levels > 30 U/L. Here, GPT is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
