MKI67 and oral lichen planus: Significant heterogeneity was not observed for the selected cases (Q-value= 2.66, df= 3, I2= 0.00, p value= 0.45).The meta-analysis results and Figure 2 show that Ki-67 expression in OLP without dysplasia was lower than in epithelial dysplasia lesions. This rate was statistically significant (Odds Ratio=0.297, 95% Confidence Interval=0.18–0.47, p value< 0.001).In addition, the results of studies show that with the increase in the degree of dysplasia, Ki-67 expression gets more evident. Therefore, it has great potential in distinguishing OED lesions from OLP.
