Despite the advances and benefits of biologic therapies targeting specific dysregulated immune pathways in each condition - such as interleukin-4 (IL-4), IL-13, and Janus Kinase 1 (JAK1) inhibitors in AD [10], TNF-α inhibitors, and IL-17 or IL-23 antagonists in psoriasis (PS) [11], and TNF-α inhibitors and IL-4 and IL-13 signaling blockers in LS [12] - approximately 20%-50% of patients do not experience substantial symptom improvement, even with these treatments [13,14]. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
