CAT and Hepatic fibrosis: The total flavonoid and phenolic fraction extracted from MQ exhibit an obvious hepatoprotective effect on experimental liver damage and hepatic fibrosis, which significantly decreases alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, while increasing superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and reduced glutathione (GSH) levels in carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced liver damage mice.
