Zhou et al[69] found that NSCLC cells target and regulate the miR-627 3p/Smads signaling pathway, transferring cancer cell derived exosomes lncRNA SOX2 transcripts (SOX2-OT) to macrophages, thereby promoting macrophage M2 polarization, causing M2/M1 macrophage ratio imbalance, and enhancing their own EGFR-TKIs resistance. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
