Patients with OD (microalbuminuria, or left ventricular hypertrophy) and/or established cardiac disease (coronary artery disease, or chronic heart failure) (n = 138) were older, with a mean age of 58 years-old, 32.6% were females, with higher BP levels (138/84 mmHg), and an overall less favorable CV risk profile, with a higher prevalence of hypertension, diabetes, and CKD; a slight increase was observed also in levels of CRP (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and left ventricular hypertrophy.
