When comparing the three hsTnT groups (< 15, 15–50 and > 50 ng/L), there were significant differences in age (p < 0.001), duration of AF (p = 0.006), symptoms such as palpitations (p < 0.001), dyspnoea (p = 0.004), chest pain (p = 0.027), haemoglobin (p < 0.001), CRP (p < 0.001) and creatinine (p < 0.001) (Table 1). Here, CRP is linked to atrial fibrillation.
