Tirzepatide, a new generation GLP1 and glucose‐dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) dual agonist, exhibited a weight loss of about 20%, with about one‐third of patients achieving a weight loss of 25% or more, almost achieving surgical results and it recently received Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the treatment of diabetes and obesity [14, 15, 16]. The gene discussed is GCG; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
