HK is the key rate-limiting enzyme of glycolysis, and it phosphorylates glucose to initiate its conversion into energy.37 HK1 and HK2 are the primary subtypes of HK.38 The results presented in Figure 2 demonstrate that Daurisoline can reduce the expression of HK2, but not HK1, in lung cancer cell lines.
