In contrast to METTL3, METTL14 [57, 58, 63, 72], WTAP [57, 58, 63, 73], and VIRMA [63, 74, 75] are consistently upregulated in NPC compared to normal NPE tissues, and their high expression levels are associated with poor prognosis (Fig. 1A). This evidence concerns the gene METTL14 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
