These mice also exhibited significantly decreased expression of kidney injury molecule 1 (KIM1) and Neutrophil gelatinase associated lipocalin (NGAL) (Fig. 2C, Fig. S2D), lower kidney to body weight ratio, and decreased levels of SCr and BUN (Fig. 2D), suggesting a functional improvement in tubular injury and kidney damage with respect to NCAAV9 AKI mice.
