Furthermore, by investigating IL-6 and IL-22 across mild, moderate-severe, and severe cases of pancreatitis, we aimed to assess whether levels of these cytokines correlate with the clinical severity of pancreatitis, which could enhance understanding of the disease's pathophysiology and explore the potential of IL-6 and IL-22 as independent biomarkers for early prediction of disease progression, which is crucial for timely and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
