GFAP and Cerebral ischemia: As shown in Figure 6, compared with the sham group, the number of microglial cells (Iba-1) increased around the infarct area on the third day after cerebral ischemia in MCAO mice (Fig. 6A,B), while the number of NeuN decreased (Fig. 6A,C), and the number of GFAP increased (Fig. 6A,D), reflecting their response in repairing and protecting brain tissue after injury.
