Elevated levels of disease characteristic factors, such as KLK5, CAMP, TLR2, and proinflammatory cytokines (such as TNF‐α, IL1β, and IL6), and MMPs have been observed in the skin lesions of human rosacea patients as well as in a mouse model of rosacea induced by LL37 [6, 14, 18]. The gene discussed is KLK5; the disease is rosacea.
