Inthe literature, l-BPA was the first boron deliveryagent shown to enter cancer cells via LAT1.2 However, l-BPA is also transported by LAT2 and ATB0,+, which are expressed in normal tissues and some cancercells.16 The uptake of l-BPA intocancer cells is mainly due to high-affinity transport by LAT1, butin cancer cells with high ATB0,+ expression, the lower-affinityuptake by ATB0,+ becomes significant at higher l-BPA concentrations.
