CASP3 and neoplasm: At these late time points, there was no difference in levels of apoptosis between groups, as shown by cleaved caspase 3 staining (32 ± 11% positive cells for control vs. 28 ± 5.7% for HM30-tesirine; n = 3 individual tumours; p = 0.66; Fig. 7g, i), presumably due to the removal of dead cells by the innate immune system.
