This study was undertaken to investigate the effects of D. dasycarpus root bark extract on skin barrier functional recovery and inflammation in an MC903 (calcipotriol, a vitamin D3 analogue with low calcemic activity) induced model of AD by measuring inflammatory cytokine levels, including those of TSLP and water retention capacities, performing histopathological analysis, and scoring skin lesion severity. Here, TSLP is linked to Alzheimer disease.
