ITGA2 and pancreatic intraductal papillary-mucinous neoplasm: The current literature has yet to focus on differences in RNA expression between IPMN-derived and PanIN-derived lesions using a transcriptomic approach [13,15,16,17,18,21,22,23], though ITGA2 and SDC1 have been identified as potential prognostic biomarkers associated with poor survival for PDAC associated with IPMN in a recent study that did not include sporadic PDACs [18], and KLF4 was found to be mutated in >50% of low-grade foci in IPMNs with a significantly lower mutation rate in high-grade foci in another study [24].
